Who we are
Both of our centres are owned and managed by Gill Terry and her daughter, Rachel Prince. We each bring our own skills, expertise and passion, reculting in a close-knit team with our values at the core of everything we do. Our centres are positive environments, focused on supporting children to learn with confidence and without judgement.
Gill Terry
Centre Director
Gill's teaching career spans over 30 years and covers ages 5-18+ with SENCO experience. Gill started the business inn 2016.
Rachel Prince
Alternative Provision Manager
Rachel has a degree in Biochemistry, has a wealth of experience in administration and has had a career in catering and hospitality.
What does joining Kip McGrath mean?

Weekly lessons
Your child will have a lesson at the same time every week with a qualified teacher.

Individualised lessons
Every lesson is carefully planned and personalised to cater for each child's specific needs.

Homework
Homework is provided weekly, and reinforces the learning completed with lessons.

Kip Method
"Over-learning" and "memory recall" are an important part of the Kip teaching method.

School Terms
We are open for in-centre and online lessons every week during Peterborough's school terms.

Stop
You can stop tuition at any time by providing two weeks' notice.
What happens during the holidays?

Your child can choose to attend either in-centre or online sessions. If you need to switch, please email us to request the change.

During school holidays we provide a DIY lesson or an option of an online lesson with a tutor (48 or 52 lesson bundle) to ensure your child remains engaged with their learning.

We provide an optional summer school. Information for this is provided closer to the time.

Summer school can replace DIY lessons if on a 48 or 52 lesson bundle.

A DIY lesson is a computer generated revision lesson, created from activities that your child has completed in lessons.
Bundles
These bundles do not tie you into a specific amount of time and can be cancelled with two weeks' notice.
All enrolments renew automtically, until two weeks' notice is given in writing.
52 Week Bundle
- Term time teacher-led lessons
- All holidays included (DIY or Online)
£37 per hour
48 Week Bundle
- Term time teacher-led lessons
- 10 weeks holiday lessons (DIY or Online)
£38 per hour
40 Week Bundle
- Term time teacher-led lessons
- No holiday lessons included
£40 per hour
1 Week Bundle
- For all short-term enrolments or one off lessons.
£40 per hour
By enrolling with Kip McGrath, you are signing a contract agreeding to attend lessons on a weekly basis.
Lessons CANNOT be cancelled, but they can be rescheduled if advance notice is given.
You will still be charged, even if your child does not attend their lesson.
Lessons not attended will be automatically converted to a DIY lesson unless we hear from you in advance.

Payments
Payments must be made weekly, in advance of lessons.
At Kip McGrath Peterborough, we only accept payments via Debit Card, Credit Card, Direct Debit or Childcare Vouchers. No cash accepted.
Card payments are collected via automatic continuous card payment on Mondays.
We require a deposit of one week's worth of lesson fees which will be taken before your child's first lesson. This goes toward your last lesson.
We reserve the right to cancel any lessons if fees are not paid.
Tax Free Childcare
If you receive childcare vouchers as part of your salary, you can use these to pay for your child's tuition. We are currently registered with:

We are registered with HMRC for the Government Tax Free Childcare scheme. Please visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk for further advice and eligibility. You will need the centre information when claiming.
We are also registered with the Childcare Grant Payment Service for students. Please contact the Student Loans Company for more information.
Online lessons are not eligible for payment by childcare vouchers.

Phonics with Robot Reg
